I’m Bob Meyers. Thank you for taking the time to look at my work.

I have been tattooing at Modern Age since we opened in May of 1997, and began tattooing in 1985. Being friends with Robert Balter, the owner of Modern Age since high school, I became interested in tattooing myself. I watched him learn over the years, and he helped me a great deal. I worked at his shop in Middletown, N.Y., Skin Images, for a brief time, but mostly tattooed as a hobby and on friends. It was not until I began working here and tattooing every day, that my work really began to improve.

I like to be versatile, and capable of many different styles of tattooing with confidence and good results. I enjoy the challenge of doing custom work, and would like to push more in the future, feeling good when the customer’s ideas are translated into a beautiful tattoo. Working with my hands gives me a great deal of satisfaction. I enjoy doing oil and acrylic painting as a hobby. I also do some woodworking and jewelry making.
